Entry for the Scream Game Jam 2025. This is just a prototype and not a full game.

You're a high school student. After getting home from school, all you want to do is lie down in bed and rest after a (not so) productive day. You don't know that A Witness watches over all your past actions...

This is my first official game, not exactly my first, but,but it is the first to have an original idea of mine and not from a course or a tutorial, so you can expect lots of bugs and perhaps a not good optimization (Though I´ve tried my best). There can also be grammar mistakes since English is not my mother tongue.

Known bugs:

• Some sounds may not work properly. The sound of the locked doors may play again if interacted with.
• Some weird camera bug that rotates itself.  FIXED

Things to Improve:

• UI. It is not the best. The phone UI can improve a lot.
• Sounds. I had lots of problems with sounds since I don´t understand when to use an Audio Source or an Audio Clip and which one is better.
• Code. My code is messy and a combination of things I´ve seen in forums, courses, tutorials and things I´ve asked to people that know more about C# than me. So, I need to keep learning.
• Level design. I am just bad at this.
• 3d modelling. The Witness is not made as I wanted. I didn´t have time to plan another thing. Also, I need to learn how to animate characters since I couldn´t find how to do it, causing the The Witness to be...static.
• Learn more about Unity itself (Particles, Post-Processing...)
• Cinematics. This is what messed my ending since I planned a short cinematic but I couldn´t understand how that tool works and it nearly broke my entire game so I had to skip that for now (But I want to learn it)

If you have any other suggestions feel free to tell me so I can make this list longer. I´ll appreciate constructive criticism so I can get better. Just the fact that you tried my game makes me happy!

My experience was great though, I had a lot of fun (Except when adding the sounds). As a student, I couldn´t work as much as I would have loved (Homework, exams, other activities...) So if I participate in another Game Jam it will probably be during holidays. Oh and here´s the author of the 3d bottle pill model:
